Aurora Borealis can be seen from late August till mid April. Aurora visibility, on the other hand, is affected by the weather conditions and aurora activity.
  • When is the best time to see Aurora?
Every season is good in its own way. For example, during the fall season, the temperature is still not too low, therefore the aurora hunting experience is more pleasant. As for the winter season, the colours of Aurora are more distinctive due to the reflection from snowy ground. Predicting the exact weather conditions on specific dates in the future is something out of anyone’s power, let alone knowing what kind of Aurora borealis will be presented to us by Mother Nature. Therefore, take it easy and plan your trip to Lapland with no stress.
  • Why is the activity called “Aurora Hunting”?
Everybody knows that Aurora Borealis can be seen in Lapland and other northern parts of the world. However, not everyone located in these parts of the world is able to see it. In order to find it, you need to study the weather conditions and monitor aurora activity to determine the best location for aurora visibility. On top of that, you may be required to travel long distances, and patiently wait for its appearance.
