When is the best time to see Aurora Borealis?
Visibility of Aurora Borealis is greatly affected by weather conditions and solar wind activity. The weather forecasts and solar wind data are updated live and are most accurate on the very day (mainly an hour or two prior to actual time). Therefore, only on the very day (a few hours prior to actual time) one can know how the conditions are for the very night.
Please note, any information available earlier is not reliable.
What if the weather is bad?
Poor weather condition in one area does not always mean that there is no chance to observe Aurora Borealis. Our driving range spans from Rovaniemi to all over Finnish and Swedish Lapland.
If the weather conditions are unpleasant throughout Lapland, the tour will be cancelled by your guide. On the bright side, it is possible to reschedule the tour based on your and seats availability.
What if KP is low?
KP index does not define the visibility of Aurora Borealis. There are numerous other indicators which are much more significant for the activity of Aurora Borealis.
Please note, it is possible to observe Aurora Borealis with KP index as low as 0.
When will I get picked up for the tour?
On the day of the tour between 16:00-20:00 your guide will message your regarding the exact pick up time for the tour / conditions for the night.
Normally, the guide will reach out to you about an hour before the tour's starting time. The starting time is differnet month to month.
What type of clothing should I wear?
We highly advise to dress warmly when visiting Lapland, especially when joining a night time tour. The tempreture may get as low as -35 degrees Celsius.
The key to staying warm is layering. At least a few layers of clothing is a must. Warm boots are advised regardless of the season. Hats, scarves, gloves and thermal clothings also play a big role in keeping one warm.
Do you provide winter overalls?
We offer 3rd layer winter jacket and pants for rent for the time of the tour.
€10 per set. Adult sizes only, e.g., S, M, L. Can be requested anytime before the tour, but no later than 1 hour before pick up.
Please note, shoes, gloves, hats and scarves are not included.
How many people can / will join the tour?
Our tours are designed for small groups of up to 8 guests (per guide). Private tours and tours for bigger groups are available upon request.
There is no minimum number of participants per booking / tour.
Please note, in some cases a tour may get cancelled if the total number of participants is one guest.
How to book a tour?
You can book the tour through this website or by messaging us through any of the following social media platforms: Instagram, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, e-mail or TikTok.
When you message us to make a booking, please provide the following information: full name, number of participants, desired tour date, address for pick up and drop off, and duration of stay in Rovaniemi.
Please note, the booking is completed after the payment is completed

Can I join the tour with my own car?
Guests may inquire about the option to join the tour with own car.
Please note, the price of the tour remains the same (regular fare is applied to each guest).
Can I reschedule the tour?
You may inquire to reschedule your tour, however, it may not always be possible to reschedule. We advise to make changes to your booking at least 8 days prior to the tour.
If the tour gets cancelled due to unpleasant weather conditions, there is a possibility to reschedule the tour based on your and seats availability.
Can I share my address for pick up later?
Yes, you can let us know the address for pick up after booking the tour, but no later than a few hours prior to the tour's starting time.
